Functionality of the ARB Air Locker:
The Air Locker operates using compressed air to engage its locking mechanism. When activated, compressed air is delivered to the differential housing, forcing air into a small orifice that in turn pushes a locking collar into place. This locks the planetary gears within the differential carrier in place and immediately joins both rear axles together. This action forces both axle shafts to rotate simultaneously, effectively locking the differential. When disengaged, the differential returns to its standard open state, allowing for normal differential action during regular driving conditions.
